Review
I've admired the styling of the Peugeot e-2008 for a while and a recent week spent testing one has only confirmed its appeal.
Despite its compact exterior, the e-2008 offers a roomy and practical interior, with plenty of space for passengers and luggage, and it comes with a range of safety features, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking, making it a safe choice for small families - a core target market for Peugeot dealers.
The e-2008 is powered by an electric motor that delivers instant torque and a smooth, silent ride.
With a 50 kWh battery, the e-2008 has a range of up to 206 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, so it's okay for longer journeys but not astonishing (real life range was closer to 180 during my test week), and on marathon trips the e-2008 can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes using a 100 kW rapid charger.
The Peugeot e-2008 is more expensive than some other electric SUVs on the market, but generally it's more stylish and well equipped.
The e-2008's cabin has a minimalist and contemporary design, with high-quality materials and an emphasis on technology. The car features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that integrates with the vehicle's digital instrument cluster and provides access to a range of features such as navigation, entertainment, and climate control, and a 3D digital display in the instrument panel provides an immersive and customizable experience.
The e-2008's sloping roofline and small rear window can make it difficult to see out of the back of the car though.
Overall, the Peugeot e-2008 is a well-rounded electric SUV that offers a great option for buyers who want to switch to electric without compromising on style or functionality.
