Former Stratstone boss Trevor Fussey has joined Marshall Motor Group as its new group managing director.

Fussey left Pendragon's premium franchise group three months ago after spending 22 years with the business.

He led Strastone for the last seven years, but has now followed in the footsteps of Martin Casha, to leave Pendragon and join Marshall.

Casha, former chief operating officer of Pendragon, joined Marshall as its new chief executive in July last year.

Trevor FusseyFussey (pictured left) confirmed the appointment on a post on Linked In: "I am delighted to announce that I have recently joined the Marshall Motor Group as group managing director.

"I am looking forward to meeting all the teams and working with the various retailers and brands.

" excited to be a part of this dynamic organisation and contribute to its future growth."

Marshall was bought by Constellation Automotive Group in 2022, which took the business into private ownership.

Pendragon was bought by US dealergroup Lithia and Driveway in January this year.

Lithia became embroiled in a bidding war for Pendragon last autumn, as its initial offer attracted counter-offers from overseas rivals Hedin and Penske, and ultimately Lithia increased its acquisition offer for Pendragon by 42%, another £117 million, taking the amount being offered for all its Stratstone, Evans Halshaw, Carstore and PVM motor businesses up to £397m.
