Several of the leaders of Toyota GB are tackling this weekend's London Marathon to raise funds for charity.
They are doing the marathon in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), and are currently almost halfway to their target of raising £15,000 for the cause.
The runners are Jason Milton, chief executive of Toyota Insurance Services; Rob Mckendrick (pictured), director of customer services, at Toyota GB; Carla Henson, general manager of one Toyota transformation & corporate operations, Toyota GB; and Dariusz Mikolajczak, managing director of Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK.
At their JustGiving page, they state: "Motor Neurone Disease (MND) currently affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. Tragically, there is still no cure for this rapidly progressing condition."
It adds: "These funds will help advance ground-breaking research, enhance care services, and provide much-needed support for individuals living with MND, as well as their families and carers. We are honored to collaborate on this important mission. Every contribution makes a difference in the fight to find a cure and improve the lives of those affected."
As Automotive Management has previously reported, Toyota GB's workforce and business partners have raised thousands of pounds for the MND Association in recent years.
In 2022 they tragically lost Toyota GB colleague Rachel Rollason to the awful, life-limiting disease. Rollason had held posts at Toyota including Lexus brand marketing manager, senior manager of customer and network support, and latterly senior manager of social media.
