MotoNovo Finance has launched its Self-Service finance app, allowing customers to control the financing of their vehicle via a new online app.
The new app has been rolled out following a successful trial into the showrooms of more than 500 of MotoNovo’s partner dealerships and sits alongside the traditional financing process with the aim of adding transparency for customers while protecting dealer incomes.
MotoNovo Motor Division chief executive Karl Werner, said: “The Self-Serve app provides a valuable new option to our dealers and a more secure, transparent and efficient offer for our customers too."
MotoNovo’s Self-Serve app is launched by the dealer in the showroom, generating an email link to the customer who can access it immediately on their own smartphone, tablet or PC.
From there, customers can create and compare multiple quotes to structure their ideal finance package, with customer support on hand to guide their journey via Live Chat or telephone.
Once approved, MotoNovo’s ‘MotoClick’ digital signature technology allows the customer to sign the document and complete the sale instantaneously.
A stamenet issued by MotoNovo said that finance income for the dealer is protected and deals are paid out immediately.
Werner added: “With banks, direct-to-consumer brokers and even our favourite supermarkets increasingly offering a self-checkout service, it was vital that MotoNovo continued its proven record of progressing with the times and adapting to customers’ desires by creating something revolutionary, not only within our firm but within the car finance industry as a whole.
“Initial feedback from dealers has been hugely positive. They’ve confirmed it’s increasing productivity and, importantly, supporting the bottom line.”
MotoNovo said that the results of its product test period reported that 90% of consumers said they enjoyed the Self-Serve experience, with 94% finding the new technology easy to use.
While many of Self-Serve’s first customers used the app within the showroom, some had opted to complete the process at home.
Dealers have also been sending the app to telephone and digital sales enquiry customers too, opening up a new degree of efficiency while giving even more choice to the digitally-minded customer.

I'm not sure i'm convinced about what Motonovo see as in the "dealers interests". I received a personal loan leaflet from them at the weekend and thought i'd ring for a quote. told them it was for a car from a dealer, also said the dealer had done my previous finance with them and still dealt with them. The adviser said I was better dealing direct with Motonovo as otherwise the dealer controls the APR. Great business for them: No dealer commission to pay & no tri-party liability, great business plan for them, terrible for us as dealers! If this is the plan now what with findandfundmycar end up as, the next 24/7? Don;t believe me, try for yourselves!
