Dealers will soon be offered exclusive early access to Sun Motors, a used car marketplace developed together with the Motor Genius Group.

Sunmotors.co.uk is aiming to revolutionise the car buying and financing experience through leveraging the media group’s audience reach and the industry expertise of the Motor Genius Group to help dealerships reach an audience of 75% of UK adults.

The Motor Genius Group is a startup that brings together experts from the motor trade to oversee the operational management of Sun Motors, including:

  • Nick McDonald & Jon Rix from The Compliance Guys
  • Alastair Campbell, UK director of MarketCheck: automotive data specialist and founder of CarSnip, sold to Oodle.
  • Jonathan Seaman, managing director of the motorsales.ai AI and automation platform for dealerships
  • Richard Hoggart, CEO of motor finance broker DSG Group, handling over £700m annually
  • Jane McBeth, director of Media Addict, heading multi-channel national media and advertising partnerships.

Dealers will be able to access a suite of essential tools typically reserved for larger players, enabling them to manage and respond to leads and finance proposals from multiple sources - including Sun Motors, other marketplaces, email, WhatsApp, and SMS from a single inbox.

The Sun Motors team said it is actively seeking the UK’s trusted dealerships to partner and that a focus group of dealers will be established to guide the platform’s development, ensuring it meets industry needs.
