Marshall Motor Holdings has appointed Jo Moxon as its new HR director from fellow AM100 retail group Pendragon.
Moxon has worked as Group HR director for Pendragon for the past two years and has extensive HR experience gained across a diverse range of industries including 20 years in the financial services sector, having worked for Barclays, Egg and Welcome Financial Services.
For the last 10 years Jo also worked in the property, online and retail sectors working with Lend Lease, ASOS, and BGL Group Ltd (the company who owns comparethemarket.com).
Moxon replaces Helen Burrows who will leave at the end of the year following a handover period.
Burrows was recognised in the Automotive 30% Club’s Inspiring Automotive Women Awards 2019 and has helped to steer Marshall to a decade of success in the annual Great Place to Work survey.
The group emerged from the 2019 survey as the highest ranking automotive company – finishing in 11th place.
Commenting on the arrival of new recruit Moxon to Marshall, group chief executive Daksh Gupta said: “I am absolutely delighted to be welcoming Jo to Marshall.
“She brings a wealth of experience which will help further develop the organisation as we enter the next stage of our growth and strategy execution.
“Her extensive experience in financial services, e-commerce and retail, together with her talent management background will be invaluable to us.
“I very much look forward to working with her over the coming years.”
Moxon said: “I feel incredibly privileged to be joining Marshall Motor Holdings as HR Director. I am excited to be joining a truly people centric business which is recognised by The Great Place to Work Institute having been ranked in the best workplaces in the UK for five years running.
“A priority for me will be to continue to build an engaging and high performing culture and I look forward to using my experience to deliver this, working as part of Marshall's strong and progressive executive team.”
