Jaguar Land Rover's sales director for the Europe importer region, Andrew Jago, has rejoined the UK to run JLR's company car sales operation.

A JLR executive since 2012, when he joined from Toyota GB, Jago has become general manager for fleet and business at JLR UK.

His first experience of the automotive industry was working at a Ford dealer, Hewitt of Chippenham, in sales and aftersales roles in the 1990s.

He believes JLR is well placed to meet the needs of fleet and business customers, and said it is working hard to "become trusted advisers" to  customers.

In particular, he said the company, which in July announced plans to build electrified cars in the UK,  is well placed to benefit from the Government’s decision to change benefit-in-kind tax rates from 2020/21

Jago added: “The changes to BIK favours battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

“This presents immediate opportunities for our business and is aligned to our powertrain strategy. We are committed to offering electrified variants across the JLR range."
