Steve Dean, former Audi franchise director at Lookers, has been appointed as managing director of VehicleVision.

He is expected to spearhead strategic new growth for the automotive video software provider.

Having spent 35 years in the industry, Dean joins VehicleVision as it is on the brink of expansion.

The Leicester-based company supplies video software, skills training and product support, which enables technicians carrying out workshop inspections and repairs to record videos and share them with customers.

Last year, VehicleVision secured a three-year deal with Audi UK to supply its Audi Cam aftersales video solution for its entire brand dealer network.

“I am delighted that Steve is joining VehicleVision at an exciting time in our development. Steve brings a wealth of ambition, experience and insight in the fast-moving automotive sector which will be invaluable as we seek to build on our success and build on our strong customer base in the UK, Europe and Asia,” said Aidan Rooney, VehicleVision director.

Dean was managing director of Scotland’s Lomond Group after it was acquired by Lookers in 2012 and then led the rapid growth of the division.  He also worked for more than seven years as Audi Brand Director at both Jardine Motors Group and Vindis Group.

“I have long admired the product and capability of VehicleVision and I’m excited to be working with a new management team which is committed to growth in a very exciting technology environment,” said Dean.
