Hendy Group has appointed a new management team at its Ford Chichester dealership as promotions continue philosophy of developing people.
Matt Peachey has been appointed new car sales manager, Richard Taylor as used car sales manager and Lee Hobbs as service manager at the Terminus Road, Chichester, following a series of promotions from the site to other Hendy Group sites.
A statement issued by the group said that the string of appointments come at a time of “investment and expansion” for Hendy and commercial director Mark Busby said he was delighted to strengthen the team in Chichester.
Peachey, a qualified technician, first joined Hendy Ford Chichester as a sales executive in 2009 and later moved to the group’s Portsmouth site, gaining experience with the company’s commercial sales team before re-joining Chichester as assistant sales manager.
“This was an excellent opportunity for me to gain new skills, and was instrumental in readying me for my new role as new car sales manager,” said Peachy. “I’m delighted to be continuing my career here with Hendy Ford, and am looking forward to showcasing the impressive new car designs on offer here.”
Colleague Richard Taylor first joined Hendy Ford in 2001, when he began his career within the motor industry.
He spent 16 years working with various car brands across the south of England before recently returning to Hendy.
“The time Hendy Group invested in me early on in my career quite simply set me up for life in the motor trade,” he said. “And now I’m over the moon to be back. It’s great seeing some familiar faces - and I’m relishing the opportunity to oversee the used car sales team here in Chichester.”
Entering the motor industry straight from school to train as a technician, Lee Hobbs has gained invaluable experience, working with a range of well-known manufacturers.
He said: “This is a great chance to really get to know our customers, and making sure their cars are well looked-after.
“There is a great team of skilled individuals here in Chichester, and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
