DEKRA Automotive Ltd has accompanied its move to a new head office with the appointment of a former Hyundai UK director Guy Pigounakis as its new sales director.

The business, which is currently expanding its training, inspection and certification businesses and streamlining the various functions into one brand, recently moved its 200 staff into new premises at Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire.

Now Pigounakis joins the firm, bringing with him “a wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding of the UK Automotive industry”, a statement issued by the business said.

Pigounakis said: “I am looking forward to starting at DEKRA at this key moment, as they gear up with their ambitious expansion plans in the UK.”

Pigounakis was most recently employed at Hyundai UK, where he held the posts of director of fleet sales and remarketing and sales director.

Before that, Guy worked at MG Rover in a variety of senior sales and marketing roles throughout the industry including a period managing a dealer group.

Pigounakis added: “My experience and knowledge of the industry combined with DEKRA ‘s enviable reputation for providing innovative business solutions will ensure we can offer the industry the tools it needs to drive vehicle sales, quality delivery and profitability going forward.”
