Car Care Plan Group has appointed Ben Russell as its sales director, responsible for overseeing the group’s sales activities in Europe, China and Brazil.

Russell first joined Car Care Plan Insurance  in 1998 and was head of underwriting from 2002, before working for the organisation in China, and for another affiliate of its parent group AmTrust.

Tim Heavisides, chief executive, said, “Ben has a wealth of experience and has an excellent domestic market and international knowledge. He will make a significant contribution to our continued growth and we welcome him into his new role.”

Russell said, “I’m delighted to be joining the board of Car Care Plan Group at such an exciting time.  We now partner with 20 major automotive manufacturers and over 1,000 dealer groups in 26 countries through 5 regional offices.

"The acquisition of CCP by AmTrust has enabled us to replace our core operating system, with a scalable global platform.  I’m looking forward to working with our clients in all markets and with colleagues from across the business.”
