Audi has confirmed the pricing and trim levels for its Q2 compact SUV ahead of its arrival in showrooms in November.

Order books open for the new addition to the German brand’s line-up in August with prices spanning the SE, Sport and S-line grades ranging from £20,230 for the 113bhp, 1-litre TFSI engined entry-level model to £30,610 for the 148bhp 2-litre TDI quattro S-line.

Launching in the UK with a choice of two four-cylinder engines, the Q2 will add the three-cylinder, 1-litre TFSI and 2-litre TDI to its range later in the year.

Initially, customers will be able to spec the compact Audi SUV with the choice of a 113bhp 1.6 TDI with fuel-saving cylinder-on-demand technology or a 148bhp 1.4 TFSI with a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.

A six-speed transmission features as standard but customers can opt for Audi’s seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission in all bar the 1-litre TFSI engine option, with quattro all-wheel-drive available from mid-2017.

New levels of connectivity will also allow owners to connect their smartphone to the Q2 to sync diaries and share pre-determined routes with their vehicle.

Among the key styling features of the newcomer are C-pillars painted in a contrasting hue to the rest of the vehicle, a high-mounted octagonal front grille and a distinctive rear spoiler and diffuser.

Keen to encourage personalisation in a vehicle aimed at a young audience, Audi is offering an array of exterior colours and interior trim colours for.

Newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels are fitted as standard, and can be optionally increased to 19 inches upon request.

Sport models (+£1,500) feature 17-inch alloys and sport seats, while S line models (+£2,250) include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and rear lights, LED interior lighting, inlays finished in brushed aluminium and leather sport seats.
