VLF’s all-American Force 1 V10 supercar caught the imagination among a string of sporty debuts on the stands at the North American International Auto Show.
As Mercedes showed off its SLC 43 roadster, Porsche brought its Turbo S Cabriolet and Lexus caught the imagination with its striking LC500, the little-known US brand unveiled its curvy 745bhp supercar to the masses.
Featuring the 8.4-litre V10 engine from the Dodge Viper VLF’s debut product claims to match its looks to staggering performance, with a 218mph claimed top speed and three seconds dash to 62mph.
The VLF goes into production in April with a limited run of 50 available for around £187,500.
Elsewhere on the stands Lexus’ LC500 made its debut. The production version of the LF-LC concept, it will take on the Mercedes SL.
Boasting a 467bhp, five-litre V8 engine mated to a ten speed automatic gearbox, Lexus’ new super coupe will reach 62mph in 4.5 seconds.
