The latest versions of Nissan's all-electric Leaf will cost from £21,990, with first deliveries taking place in February.
Nissan has increased both the range and power of its popular EV, meaning that is is now capable of covering a 50% greater distance on a single charge - 235 miles (NEDC) - and can be purchased with a 150PS equivalent electric motor.
Advanced driver assistance technology, called ProPilot, has also introduced semi-autonomous driving functionality to the hatchback EV.

Customers looking to be one of the first owners of the all-new Nissan Leaf, can now benefit from a contract purchase offer on the limited edition 2.ZERO version.
With a £5,138 customer deposit, combined with £1,000 dealer deposit contribution, monthly payments are £339 on a three-year/10,000 annual mileage PCP with 4.49% APR.
"With the New Nissan LEAF, all-electric motoring has never been more viable or affordable for almost any motorist,” said Carl Bayliss, EV category manager at Nissan.
The company claims that running costs are around 85% less than petrol or diesel cars and maintenance is almost 75% cheaper.
EV drivers also benefit from £0 VED, free London Congestion Charge and free parking in some cities.
