Luxury car dealership Whitson Prestige has been attacked by two masked men who ransacked its showroom and stole two high-end vehicles.

Rory Collingbourne, co-owner of the family-run business, discovered the break-in on August 18.

Around 4am, the intruders smashed the showroom windows at the dealership, located off Whitson Road in Goldcliff, Newport.

After breaking into the key box and forcing open the garage doors, the thieves made off with a BMW X3M (registration LC71 VDX) and a Mercedes C43 (registration RF19 JVN), valued at a total of £85,000.

"Words cannot express how upset we are right now," Rory Collngbourne shared in a Facebook video.

The family said it is working closely with Gwent Police to recover the stolen cars and identify the suspects, who are understood to have been driving a Ford Focus.

A spokesperson for Whitson Prestige said the theft has been a significant blow to the luxury and sports car business who added that other car dealerships in Newport have been targeted in recent weeks.

Founded by Rory Collngbourne and father Jon, Whitson Prestige is appealing to the public for any information on the suspects or the stolen vehicles, offering a reward for helpful tips. They are urging anyone who spots the stolen cars or has relevant information to contact Gwent Police.
