Used car supermarket HPL has unveiled its fourth store in Stockport, marking a major milestone in the company’s 33-year history.
The new site, which can accommodate up to 250 cars, had been vacant for three years before undergoing extensive renovation.
"We saw immense potential in this site from the moment we visited it," said an HPL spokesperson. What sets this location apart is its unique positioning as the only used car supermarket despite the presence of other car dealerships in the area.
The company worked closely with local tradespeople to revitalise the space, transforming it into a state-of-the-art facility.
"Thanks to our fantastic team and months of preparation, we’re ready to provide an exceptional experience for our customers right from day one," he said.
The new store will raise HPL’s total inventory levels to around 1,300 vehicles.
Marubeni Auto Investment UK (MAIUK) which acquired a majority shareholding in January 2023 contributed infrastructure and support for this new venture.
"We’ve built a strong reputation in the north west over the past three decades, and this new store represents a strategic step forward," the spokesperson added. "With the backing of MAIUK, we’re confident this expansion will allow us to grow our customer base and continue delivering on our commitment to quality."
