Hartwell is extending its dealership portfolio to offer Chinese all-electric car brand BYD at its Dunstable, Oxford, and Hereford sites.
Managing director Mark Knapton’s said: “As avid advocates of electric vehicles, offering new Ford and GWM Ora electric vehicles, along with a diverse selection of multi-franchise used electric vehicles, we're excited to expand our offerings.
“BYD's high-quality vehicles provide excellent value and present a compelling option for customers who may be new to the world of fully electric vehicles. We're confident that these additions will further our commitment to sustainable transportation and attract a broader range of customers to the electric vehicle market."
BYD made its debut in the UK market in early 2023 with the introduction of the family SUV Atto 3, and has since expanded its UK product portfolio to include two additional models, the Dolphin and the Seal.
Hartwell, with its established network of 11 dealerships across the UK, believes it is well-positioned to introduce BYD's electric vehicles to a wider audience.
BYD plans to establish a comprehensive UK retail network comprising 100 dealerships by the end of 2025.
