Fix Auto Hereford has officially opened its doors, marking a milestone achievement for owner Kevin Dunlop, who joined the Fix Auto network just 20 months ago as owner of Fix Auto Tewkesbury.

Situated in a 5,500-square-foot facility near Hereford’s historic centre, the new state-of-the-art repair centre was developed from a previously derelict warehouse.

After months of renovation, the facility is now fully operational, serving local customers and repairing vehicles with efficiency and precision. Dunlop and his team have completed the pre-audit for their BS 10125 certification and are on track for the final audit in the coming weeks.

Reflecting on the journey, Dunlop shared, “Standing here in my new repair centre in Hereford is incredibly rewarding. While unforeseen issues during renovations set us back slightly, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.”

Designed for optimal workflow, the facility allows damaged vehicles to enter directly from a secure compound, undergo repair, and proceed seamlessly from the spray booth to quality control inspection.

Once fully up and running, Fix Auto Hereford is projected to repair over 50 vehicles each month, enhancing service capabilities and reinforcing Dunlop’s growing footprint within the Fix Auto network.

Fix Auto UK is part of a global franchised network of more than 925 bodyshops which carry out more than 150,000 body repairs every year for motor insurance companies, fleets, and retail customers.

Ian Pugh, managing director for Fix Auto UK, commented: “What Kevin and his team have achieved is nothing short of inspirational. He boldly declared when he joined us of his intentions to rapidly expand his business and, 18 months on he’s the proud owner of his second site that he literally has developed with his bare hands. It really is a great addition to the network, geographically it couldn’t be in a better position as we continually strive to provide a comprehensive service for our insurer partners.”
