Ocean Automotive has celebrated a hat-trick of Audi Q Power Awards successes after securing the German premium carmaker’s UK Centre of the Year title for a third consecutive year.
Poole Audi's 2022 win completes an historic hat-trick of awards for the £113.5 million turnover Poole-based car retail group after its sister centre, Yeovil Audi, won the VW Group OEM’s top award in 2020 and 2021.
Yeovil Audi claimed this year’s used sales centre of the year award, with recently-acquired Jardine Motors Group the only other franchisee to secure two awards at last week’s awards event – scooping both the Aftersales Centre of the Year and Data Connectivity awards.
Celebrating Ocean’s recent win Audi Poole head of business Elliot Onaran said: “I am thrilled to win this award. It was true team effort and one that I am really pleased to have recognised by Audi UK. Thank you to each and every member of the team for working so hard to make this achievement possible.
“I would also like to thank our customers for their support and custom over the last year for which we are tremendously grateful.”
Ocean Automotive managing director Gail Ninnim said: “To receive this award is such great news and a testament to Elliot and his team’s dedication and devotion to continually strive to be the best.
“Seeing off competition from over 100 Audi Centres across the UK is no mean feat, so this is a brilliant achievement.”
Audi UK director Andrew Doyle presented the whole Poole Audi team with the 2022 award on March 27.
Doyle said: “As 2022 closed Audi was the number one premium brand in the UK, number one in true fleet for the second year running, and with parts sales ahead of target, plus many other accolades. And with such success comes the time to recognise those who truly went all out.
“A big congratulations to Poole Audi who are the number one ranked Centre in Q Power for 2022 and is therefore our ‘Audi Centre of the Year’.”
Doyle added: “All of the Q Power winners received visits from the Audi Leadership team as part of our customary tour of the UK and were given a monetary prize fund so that the whole team can go out and celebrate in style.”
Audi ended 2022 with new car registrations down 6.6% at 117,953 units.
Yesterday’s Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) data for Q1 showed that the brand is currently 20.2% up year-to-date, having registered 32,698 vehicles.
