Cap HPI has struck-up a new partnership with online classifieds specialist Shpock after the business established its own online automotive marketplace.

The new agreement will ensure enhanced vehicle data is available on the Shpock platform, which could allow motor dealers to reach millions of Shpock customers, the two business said in a statement.

Shpock creates online classified adverts through its app and it’s motor sales platform, Shpock+ Motors.

It represents a new marketplace for motor dealers boasting 10 million monthly active users, the second largest marketplace for private car ads in the UK with 79% of its car sales being local.

Shpock’s head of sales, Steve Grice, said: “While building the Shpock+ Motors proposition we always had user experience ranking alongside trust and safety as our key drivers.

“Partnering with Cap HPI provides a huge step forward in both aspects, giving the buyer confidence that every vehicle listed on Shpock is as described while allowing the seller to list their stock in seconds rather than minutes.”

The new contract will see Cap HPI provide a range of vehicle data which aims to ensure accuracy for used car buyers on the platform.

Cap HPI’s head of digital media, Ian Denny, said:  “We continue to support innovation across the automotive industry by ongoing investment in people, data and technology.

"Shpock is a very exciting and dynamic business and its rapid growth in the automotive sector has been a phenomenal success.

“Our work with Shpock further demonstrates how accurate and reliable data can help drive a business forward by building solid trust amongst the customer base.

"Data is fundamental to Shpock and will be a major factor in its continued future success.”
