Robins and Day has taken on the Peugeot and Citroen Dealerships in Newport from Lookers.

The PSA-owned dealer group will take on the site’s staff of 24 as part of the agreement, which includes two adjacent showrooms and a combined workshop in a single site on Newport Retail Park.

Both sites will be upgraded to the latest brand corporate identities, Robins and Day revealed in a statement today.

Robins and Day chief executive, James Weston, said: “We are delighted to be expanding into Newport – this is an important opportunity for the group and key to our on-going growth plans.”

The addition of the Newport sites is another step in the growth of the PSA-owned operation which opened the North West’s largest DS store in Manchester as it seeks to drive forward the premium French brand on UK soil.

The group now has 29 Peugeot and 13 Citroen franchises across the country, with future additions and developments also planned.
