Mill Garages North East Ltd has seen an eleven 11% rise in turnover in a year that saw it commit wholly to sales from its string of Volvo franchises.

The Newcastle-based dealer group achieved a turnover of £114 million – up on 2015’s £102 million – during the year to December 31 from activities at its Volvo dealerships which has sites in Newcastle, Sunderland, Stockton and a Volvo and Nissan facility in Harrogate.

Pre-tax profits also increased from £1.04 million to £1.08 million.

Late last year Mill Garages ceased its relationship with Nissan at its Harrogate site due to the success of its Volvo operations.
