Building work has started on a new, £475,000 aftersales facility at Cox Motor Group’s Southport Honda centre.
The new facility in Scarisbrick includes a MoT bay and additional workshop bay to cater for more services, MoTs and repairs, aimed at reducing customer waiting times.
It also features three new valet bays next to a photography turntable, so cars going from being cleaned to being photographed for advertising.
In the original workshop area space has been created for two new technician bays, bringing the total to five, and the old valet bay has been converted to a SMART repair area.
At the end of the new building is a meeting room and storage area. Outside the compound area has been reduced and tarmacked to give larger car display and customer parking areas.
