Savilles Garage brought Renault and Dacia to its Kidderminster dealership as part of a switch incorporating a £700,000 redevelopment of the site.
The retailer, located off Worcester Road, Mustow Green, Kidderminster, had previously operated a Skoda franchise for 16 years ahead of the development, which now features a 12-car showroom, seven-bay workshop and 100-strong used car display.
Based on the site of the oldest garage premises in Worcestershire, and one that has been home to Savilles Garage for nearly 17 years, the new dealership also features EV charging points as part of Savilles efforts to “future proof” the facility.
Patrick Sword, managing director, Savilles Garage, said: “Moving to the Groupe Renault franchise after 16 years with another brand was a major decision and we wouldn’t have invested such an amount and made the change if we didn’t have complete faith in Renault and Dacia and that our partnership will be equally longstanding and successful.
“We see the Groupe Renault franchise as the perfect vehicle for our whole business to be built on for many years to come.
“With the Renault range being one of the freshest a manufacturer has to offer and Dacia winning all the awards for value, the brands are incredibly attractive to both us and our customers.”
The rapid growth of the Renault and Dacia network is part of Groupe Renault UK’s GO5+ strategy.
The plan includes the creation of sustainable growth that will see market share above 5% in 2017 and also establishing Renault as a leader in terms of customer satisfaction.
Nick Tame, sales director, Groupe Renault UK, said: “Savilles Garage is an excellent dealer partner for us as the business has previously enjoyed official recognition for its commitment to customers and demonstrates a real passion for our brands.
“It’s great to have Renault and Dacia represented once more in Kidderminster and with Savilles Garage being established in the region since 1999, earning an unrivalled reputation for looking after its customers, we are certain that they will be a major benefit to our dealer network and anyone in the region who has an interest in Renault and Dacia.”
