Right Car has joined the Groupe Renault UK dealer network with a new Hull dealership which will pave the way to the business’ expansion outside its East Yorkshire homeland.

The new franchise is the first Renault and Dacia dealership to be opened by Right Car and marks a change in tack for the business which currently operates East Yorkshire’s largest car supermarket operation.

Shaun Kamis, director of Right Car, said: “We are fortunate to be in a very strong financial position and had the option of a number of franchise partners, but Renault and Dacia clearly stood out.

“The brands are very much on the up and the model ranges, particularly the Clio, Kadjar and forthcoming all-new Mégane, are exceptionally strong.

“We only see good things in our new partnership and, based on this experience, we would definitely like to expand the franchise to additional sites.”

Right Car’s £1m Renault and Dacia dealership on Clough Road, Hull, incorporates a completely redeveloped 1-acre site and an adjacent building to enable it to display over 300 new and used cars and LCVs.

Displaying 14 cars, the main showroom features the new Renault Store retail concept that is designed to enhance customers’ buying experience through designated zones and interactive displays.

The dealership also includes an advanced 15-bay workshop that is manned by manufacturer-trained technicians and master technicians.

Outside, there are EV charging points that customers of the innovative ZOE and Kangoo Z.E can use to recharge their all-electric vehicles when visiting the dealership.

Groupe Renault franchise was the fastest-growing automotive franchise in the UK in 2015 and was awarded AM’s Franchise of the Year award earlier this year.
