Renault UK has launched a 26-strong specialist dealer network dedicated to its Renaultsport performance brand.
Dealers have been selected across various locations in the UK and include designated showroom, a trained Renaultsport representative, areas featuring the latest models, merchandise and accessories and the full Renaultsport vehicle range available for test drives.
Renault said that the move to designate specialist dealers had come as a result of a need to meet the “intricate sales and after sales requirements of Renaultsport customers”.
Establishing the Renaultsport network is also another boost to Renault Group UK’s GO5+ strategy, which aims to substantially grow its market share and position the manufacturer as a frontrunner in terms of customer satisfaction and brand opinion.
Darren Payne, Sales Director, Renault Group UK said: “Renaultsport customers have very specific requirements and as our product offering becomes more specialised and technologically advanced, we are delighted, through the new Renault Specialist dealer network, to provide them with a highly-focused facility that mirrors their passion for the brand.
“The new development underlines our commitment to innovation and driving dynamics and the importance of Renaultsport to Renault Group UK, the increasing popularity of the brand and its products being a significant factor in helping us to meet our targets for sustainable growth as set out in our GO5+ plan.”
The creation of the dedicated Renaultsport dealer network comes after the range was bolstered by the recent launch of the Clio Renaultsport 220 Trophy and Mégane Renaultsport 275 Cup-S.
Renaultsport already caters for its customers’ “specific requirements” through manufacturer-organised Renaultsport track days and an official website which includes a community forum for enthusiasts.
Renaultsport is the division responsible for the motorsport activities of the Renault brand – including Formula 1, Formula E, popular one-marque championships such as Formula Renault 2.0 and the Renaultsport Trophy, featuring the stunning R.S.01, as well as rallying and the ever-popular Clio Cup.
Among the 26 Renaultsport Specialists are: Arnold Clark outlets at Hillington, Warrington and Inverness; Benfield Motors, Newcastle-upon-Tyne; Brayley, Milton Keynes; Bristol Street Motors, Nottingham; Charles Hurst, Belfast; Harratts, Wakefield; Hartwell, Kidlington; Holdcroft, Stoke-on-Trent; John Banks, Cambridge; Lookers, Chester; Martins, Basingstoke; Masters, Beckenham; and Motorline, Maidstone.
The rest of the new dealership network is made up of: Park’s, Motherwell; Rawlinson, Bury St Edmunds; Renault Retail outlets in Birmingham, Cardiff, Enfield, London West, Manchester and Orpington; Shelbourne Motors, Craigavon; Vospers, Plymouth; and Westover, Poole.
Renaultsport models will remain available to order at all Renault UK dealerships across the UK.

What they are actually saying is that these products will be such a poor seller they will only sign up to a very very small number coming to the UK. If the truth was shared I expect RUK would rather say 'Non' to the whole silly concept!
