West Way Nissan has appointed 14 new apprentices to work across dealerships in the group’s network after embarking on a recruitment drive with Remit.
It’s the first time West Way has worked with Remit to recruit apprentices for its business.
The chosen candidates will now work towards achieving a nationally recognised qualification.
The new apprentices recently met for the first time as they underwent training before starting at their respective dealerships.
Andy Buswell, HR manager for West Way Nissan, said: “This is a great opportunity for these young people who have a dream of building a long career in the motor industry.
“Competition for an apprenticeship place at West Way Nissan was tough so they have already achieved a great deal by being accepted onto the programme.
“We were looking for enthusiastic and passionate young individuals with an appetite to grow and develop – and these are the qualities they all demonstrated. We want to help them reach their potential and achieve their ambitions. With a can-do attitude and the support of West Way Nissan’s nationally-recognised brand, we can help these apprentices build a successful career.”
The new recruits will work alongside qualified car sales executives to learn about the vehicles they are selling, develop sales techniques and enhance their customer service skills.
Each West Way Nissan dealership – in Aldershot, Altrincham, Basingstoke, Birmingham, Coventry, Hanwell, Manchester, Mill Hill, Oldham, Oxford, Rochdale, Southampton, Stockport, Stourbridge, and Wolverhampton – has taken on an apprentice.
