Andrew Doyle, the director of Audi UK since 2017, is set to leave the business in September to return to his Australia homeland, where he will run one of the country's major car dealer groups.

The move will mark the end of almost 20 years working with Audi in various roles and countries.

Prior to becoming the head of Audi UK Doyle had led the Audi national sales company in Australia and been a director of its Audi Centre Sydney manufacturer-owned dealership, and he had previously spent two years as director of Audi Ireland.

His new role of chief executive of Peter Warren Automotive puts him in charge of more than 80 franchised dealerships representing more than 30 volume, prestige and luxury car brands.

On LinkedIn, he wrote that the chance to join the dealer group is "a thrilling opportunity to lead such a dynamic company".
