Andrew Doyle, the director of Audi UK since 2017, is set to leave the business in September to return to his Australia homeland, where he will run one of the country's major car dealer groups.
The move will mark the end of almost 20 years working with Audi in various roles and countries.
Prior to becoming the head of Audi UK Doyle had led the Audi national sales company in Australia and been a director of its Audi Centre Sydney manufacturer-owned dealership, and he had previously spent two years as director of Audi Ireland.

Prior to becoming the head of Audi UK Doyle had led the Audi national sales company in Australia and been a director of its Audi Centre Sydney manufacturer-owned dealership, and he had previously spent two years as director of Audi Ireland.
His new role of chief executive of Peter Warren Automotive puts him in charge of more than 80 franchised dealerships representing more than 30 volume, prestige and luxury car brands.
On LinkedIn, he wrote that the chance to join the dealer group is "a thrilling opportunity to lead such a dynamic company".
He added: "As excited as I am to take on this new position I fondly look back at my time with the brand both here in the UK (and also in Australia and Ireland).
"I am so proud of what everyone in the UK has achieved during my seven years in the Northern Hemisphere."
He applauded the professional and talented Audi UK team, adding that whether through WLTP, RDE2, Brexit, Covid, or supply restrictions, his team always found a way
And he celebrated that by the time he leaves on September 4 Audi UK will have delivered more than one million Audi cars in his seven years.
"I will miss the professionalism, the camaraderie, and the fun times that everyone at head office and across the Audi network has brought, making my tenure of the brand so enjoyable and rewarding," Doyle added.

Established in 1958, Peter Warren Automotive retails new cars for brands including including Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Honda, Toyota, Ford, Suzuki, Kia, Peugeot, Volvo, Skoda and Isuzu Ute.
