AM100 dealer group doubles Porsche representation with acquisition

AM100 motor retailer Bowker Motor Group has doubled its number of Porsche dealerships through an acquisition.

It has bought Porsche Centre Bolton from Lithia Motors UK, which it will operate alongside its existing award-winning Porsche dealership in Preston which it opened in 2019 after filling an open point for the prestige brand.

Porsche Centre Bolton, which has a large showroom and 12-bay workshop on Manchester Road, was previously operated by the Stratstone division of Pendragon, which was acquired by Lithia earlier this year.

First opened in 2006, Porsche Centre Bolton was extended in 2018 and it serves customers in the Greater Manchester area. Many of its team have been with the business since it started.

Bowker, which is one of the AM100 largest franchised dealer groups in the UK, also operates BMW, Mini, BMW Motorrad and Ineos dealerships in the region.
