Livingstone Motor Group is branching out just two years after its boss Andrew Iveson held a management buyout and set out a plan to grow the business.
The AM Award winning leader announced this week he has completed on an acquisition of the former Broach Hill Garage dealership near Driffield, some 22 miles north of Livingstone's base in Hull, where it holds Subaru, Isuzu and SsangYong new car sales franchises.
Broach Hill Garage on the A164 closed last year, with 30 redundancies, after the business went into administration. It had held MG Motor and SsangYong franchises at that point, and had been in business for 50 years.
Revealing the acquisition, Iveson said he was "delighted, excited, thrilled and equally full of pride for the Livingstone team".
He said the dealership has "masses of potential", with its large forecourt, two showrooms and workshop.
"The renovation has alread begun to bring the site back to its glory," Iveson added.
"What I have learned is Broach Hill has a place in the heart of many. The site has been a dealership for over 50 years, serving many customers in a wide area.
"The site has almost landmark status on a busy road."
