Peugeot Citroën has put its vehicle damage assessors through a training programme with Audatex to help ensure assessments are right first time.
Training took place in 15 regional centres across the UK, including Maidstone, Newbury, Bristol and Milton Keynes.
The vehicle damage assessors were tested throughout the training and based on their performance, a winner was announced from each of the networks.
The Citroën estimator of the year was awarded to Matt Famer of MG Cannon Salisbury and the Peugeot estimator of the year was awarded to Neil Trisnan of Robins and Day Chiswick.
Each winner received atrophy along with and iPad and a three-month subscription to AudaMobile for use within their business.
Leonie Douglas, fleet and collision programmes manager at Peugeot Citroën, said: “Our growing parntership with Audatex ensures that we can continue to bring our bodyshop estimators the very best training, helping them get assessments right first time, keeping their costs down and increasing the efficiency across our approved network.”
Bob Footner, Peugeot Citroën’s regional bodyshop development manager, said: “With the estimator of the year programme in place, estimators in our approved network are now receiving specific input on branded items of the Peugeot Citroën approved programme.
"The course provides the annual recertification for Audatex and educates them about the branded initiaves available to our approved network. For example, the write off avoidance scheme, manufacturer repair methods, information on daily use and charge out rates and the branded hybrid training.
"Along with recertification and all the branded information, the estimators now also have the opportunity to win this competition for themselves and their business, pushing the level of excellence even further.
"Working with Audatex means we can be sure that Peugeot and Citroën assessors are confident with the latest technologies and models."
