Vauxhall Motors has appointed Simon Oldfield (pictured) to the new position of sales and marketing director, effective from March 1.

Oldfield is a sales and marketing specialist and joins Vauxhall from Mercedes Benz where he has held a number of related senior positions. Previous roles have included brand and sales responsibilities at Hilton Hotels and BMW.

Tim Tozer, chairman and managing director of Vauxhall Motors, said: "Simon’s background and experience will bring new momentum and perspective to the business in the newly created role of sales and marketing director, a role pivotal to the success of Vauxhall’s future journey."
