Restructuring of the Fiat Group means that Alfa Romeo has spent the past few years treading water, although the launch of a new halo product this year in the 4C sportscar, right, and its future plans suggest there could be real growth in the next few years.
About 50 sites offer the Mito and Giulietta, both revised for the 2014 model year, with the £45,000 4C signalling the brand’s move upmarket.
Future products in the pipeline include a rear-wheel drive rival to the BMW 3 Series as well as SUVs under development.
Despite declining sales and market share over the past few years, dealers now see the value of the franchise increasing, and, where appropriate, it is being partnered with the Jeep brand within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles sites.

Shame that 90% of the dealer's salespeople couldn't sell a £1 for 50p, too many shop keepers in the motor trade now, we used to train people to sell what prospective customers didn't want, couldn't afford and had no need for! Tip no 1, Desire is the basis of all success
