Two E-Class Mercedes-Benz cars have been stolen in a daytime raid on a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Hertford.
Police have studied CCTV images showing two men at the car dealership on the afternoon of Saturday, September 13.
The theft involved one black and one blue Mercedes-Benz E220, worth around £60,000 in total.
Police have described how a man walked into the dealership, in John Tate Road, and took a set of keys before heading into the car park. He used the keys to get into one of the vehicles and drove towards the exit.
He then parked the vehicle and went back into the garage before coming back into the car park with a second set of keys for his accomplice.
Having retrieved the second set of keys the man gave them to a second man waiting in the car park who then got into a second vehicle. Both men then drove off in an unknown direction, reported the Hertfordshire Mercury.

The lesson is that CCTV can't make up for basic good practice from well drilled staff........ This not the first time this business has had vehicles stolen by thieves accessing vehicle keys and driving off DER
