Pentana Solutions has announced further expansion to its UK operations with the appointment of Richard Kerr as sales director Europe.

Kerr is a member of the executive team of Pentana Solutions and has relocated to the United Kingdom to head sales for Pentana Solutions Europe.

He has been with Pentana Solutions for six years and was previously responsible for Sales in Asia Pacific based out of Melbourne, Australia.

A key focus of his appointment is to continue the expansion of Pentana Solutions retail dealer management software (DMS) DealerPRO business as well as pursue further opportunities for the company in distribution software.

Pentana Solutions already has more than 300 dealerships using its Parex online virtual parts warehouse in the UK, as well as existing DMS and Distribution customers. 

Kerr says: "We see a great opportunity in the retail automotive market for an innovative, credible DMS alternative and we aim to provide it.

"We understand the market needs a fresh approach and we believe that with our philosophies, that include being open to third party integrations, no lock-in dealer contracts and being responsive to the needs of dealers and OEMs, we can deliver this."

Pentana Solutions is celebrating its 40th year in business and has in excess of 50,000 users. Kerr's appointment is another addition to a European team numbering more than 100.
