Used car retail group CarShop is consolidating the procurement of all its paints, consumables, parts and equipment into LKQ Coatings and ECP to help control its costs and deliver faster service and repair deadlines.

The total supply agreement will provide nationwide coverage, ‘right first time’ rapid delivery schedules and value-added support including training, technical innovations and business propositions that will bolster its customer service focus.

To achieve the high service levels agreed and maximise cost savings for CarShop, an ECP parts specialist will provide dedicated support at its head office in Leighton Buzzard, and CarShop will use the ECP trade website for order placement.

Peter O’Brien, preparation director at CarShop, says, “We want to work with business partners that have a desire to build longevity into the agreement and help us achieve our growth objectives.

"This, combined with LKQ Coatings’ and ECP’s industry-leading business propositions, will ensure we remain competitive and cost-effective for our motorist customers.”

CarShop has used car supermarkets at Cardiff, Doncaster, Northampton, Norwich and Swindon, each with a service centre.
