The Peugeot 108 will launch in the UK on July 1 with four equipment grades, CO2 emissions from 88g/km and prices starting at £8,245.

The 108 is available in three and five-door hatchback or cabrio body styles and with a choice of two petrol engines, including Peugeot’s recently unveiled PureTech three-cylinder unit.

Personalisation will be a key element of the 108’s appeal to customers, with a range of colours, trims and themes.

Equipment includes a seven-inch touch-screen infotainment system with DAB digital radio, Mirror Screen with MirrorLink technology, which lets drivers use compatible smartphone apps through the car, as well as Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel-mounted controls.

Equipment grades are Access, Active, Allure and Felineand on the hatchback, Access is only available on three-door models.

Standard features include LED daytime running lights, remote central locking, USB/aux connection for external audio players with steering wheel-mounted controls, six airbags, ESP stability control and two rear Isofix mountings.

Active models add colour-coded door handles and mirrors, air-conditioning, height-adjustable driver’s seat, seven-inch touch-screen infotainment system with DAB, Mirror Screen and Bluetooth.

The Allure models include 15-inch Thorren alloy wheels, front fog lights, auto headlights, electric heated door mirrors, reversing camera, leather steering wheel and gear knob, plus keyless entry and engine start/stop button.

The flagship Feline adds leather upholstery, chrome door handles and mirrors and automatic dual zone air conditioning.

The 108 will also be available with a retractable fabric roof, which can be opened and closed electrically. The 108 Top is only available on the Active and Allure trims.

Both the 108 Hatch and Top come with a choice of a 1.0-litre 68hp petrol engine with 95g/km of CO2 (88g/km with stop/start), or a 1.2-litre PureTech VTi 82bhp with 99g/km of CO2.

A five-speed manual transmission is mated to both engines, with the option of a 2-Tronic semi-automatic gearbox on the 1.0-litre.

Prices start at £8,245 on the road for the 1.0-litre Access three-door. Active models begin at £9,495, Allure at £10,995 and Feline at £11,845.

108 Top models are priced from £10,345 for the 1.0-litre Active three-door (only a £850 price walk from the equivalent Hatch version), rising to £12,245 for the 1.2-litre Allure five-door.
