Trade buyers at Manheim's first commercial vehicle sale at its new Shotts auction centre are being promised every van purchased will be marketed to potential customers just hours later.

Existing customers of Motors.co.uk, Manheim's consumer-facing classified vehicle site, will have every van they buy at the auction on October 29 listed on the website by 4pm the same day.

Customers yet to join the trading website will be given the opportunity to open a fast track account and enjoy similar benefits.

Manheim said it wanted to mark the launch sale by demonstrating its ‘joined-up thinking’ and providing both vendors and buyers the chance to use a range of Manheim services for free.

Manheim is also encouraging buyers to its launch day celebrations, offering to pay the £65 stock plan listing fee for every NextGear Capital UK customer, so that buyers can add every van they buy onto their bespoke stocking plan, free of charge.

The event is set to feature more than 200 units, including vans and trucks, from big name brands, such as Lex Autolease, Burnt Tree, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Hitachi Capital Commercial Vehicles, SG Equipment Finance and T.O.M. Vehicle Rental.

James Davis, director of commercial vehicles at Manheim, said: “We strive to place customers at the heart of everything we do and hope that our ‘joined-up thinking’ strategy makes the process easier than ever for our valued clients.“

By giving customers the opportunity to make the most of our full suite of products and services, we’re demonstrating our award-winning abilities in a way never before seen in the CV wholesale arena.”

Manheim UK is part of the US-based Cox Automotive Group and currently employs more than 20,000 people across the world in 107 countries.
