Progress Automotive has launched the digital arm of its business under the new brand name of Responsive Digital.

Alex Knight, Responsive Digital operations manager, said the reason behind the new brand was because the company wanted to move away from a market perception that Progress is just a software development company.

This new brand within Progress Automotive now has its own separate website www.responsivedigital.co.uk.

He said: “Our digital arm has operated autonomously with our own products and services for several years now, and we feel that the time is now right to create a clearer distinction between our aftersales software product, and our website and digital marketing operations.

“Secondly, we wanted our company’s name to more accurately reflect both the latest thinking in website design and architecture, as well as the service we provide to our customers.”

Responsive Digital focuses on responsive website design to help dealer websites adapt to any device resolution, including new tablets on the market like the iPad Mini and Kindle Fire.

Knight said: “We have invested a great amount of development time enabling our content management system, WebBuilder, to work seamlessly with the responsive sites we are now producing, and as a consequence, our clients will be able to manage their websites in one single place, while ensuring the consistency of their information across all devices accessing it.”
