Mercedes-AMG says the new E 63 AMG is a ‘more powerful character’ with a ‘more dynamic appearance’.

The design philosophy includes a new twin blade radiator grille and new A-wing in the front apron.

The E 63 AMG Saloon delivers 557hp at 5500rpm while the S-Model Saloon/Estate delivers 585hp at 5500rpm. The top speed for both is electronically limited to 155mph.

An optional equipment highlight is the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG surround sound system.

Chairman of Mercedes-AMG, Ola Källenius, commented: “The new model variants of the E 63 AMG and CLS 63 AMG clearly demonstrate how we are offering our customers even more individuality.

“The S-Models in particular represent the most attractive proposition in the segment.”

Tobias Moers, head of overall vehicle development, added: “These high power and torque ratings are exclusive to AMG.

“Our 5.5-litre V8 engine remains the most efficient series production V8 in the world.”
