The all-new Mazda6 has been unveiled at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show. As the flagship model of a new generation of vehicles, it is intended to build on the success of the CX-5.

Key selling points include Mazda’s Skyactiv technology, the 'Kodo - Soul of Motion' design language and the new i-ELOOP braking energy regeneration system.

Pointing to its strong track record in producing “stylish, insightful and spirited cars”, Mazda says the 6 will deliver a high-quality, exhilarating driving experience, while offering outstanding environmental and safety performance.

Programme manager Hiroshi Kajiyama commented: “In developing the third-generation Mazda6, we pursued Mazda’s intrinsic core value: ‘driving pleasure’.

“The distinctive exterior design hints at the power and agility with which the car moves.

“In short, the new Mazda6 offers the ‘joy of driving’ that people have come to expect from a Mazda. I can’t wait to see the look on the faces of people getting out of the car after their first time behind the wheel.”

It is expected to arrive in UK showrooms in late 2012.
