Robins & Day has taken over the Eddy Grimstead Motor Group's single site dealership in Romford, a business that has been trading for more than 100 years.
The site in London Road operates now with the Peugeot franchise and is also a Citroen Retail site, bringing its total to 14 sites. The Peugeot dealer group has 37 now.
Grimsteads was the first Honda dealer in the UK and has been in business since 1908, originally as cycle shop in the East End. It had represented 25 car and motorbike manufacturers.
Grimsteads has now opened a new business, at a new address in London Road, selling used cars, with more than 100 units in stock and specialising in all-makes servicing and repair.

Used cars and all makes servicing for independants along with vertical intergration is the way forward.... Just wait 10-years and most of the weaker manufacturers will be back begging to be represented by the successful independents again!!
