A new Honda dealership is set to open, filling a six year open point.

West Norfolk has been without the brand since Jim Russell Honda in Downham Market closed in 2006, blaming the toughening market and franchise investment demands.

Now Crown Garage, which has represented Honda in Soham near Ely for more than a decade, is preparing to open its second dealership 30 miles away in King's Lynn in January.

It is investing in a showroom and workshop in Scania Way, off Hardwick Road.

Dealer principal, Andy Harrison, Harrison told local newspaper The Lynn News: "Opening up at Lynn is a natural progression for us. We are very excited about the plans and are confident that we have a fantastic product to bring to the town."

Since Jim Russell's closure Honda's nearest representation has been Marshall at Peterborough, John Banks Honda at Cambridge or Holden Honda at Norwich.
