AM has been given a BEN award in recognition of its support of the automotive trade charity.

AM editor Jeremy Bennett and managing editor Tim Rose were presented the glass trophy by BEN's Amanda Clements at a lunch at its Town Thorns Care Centre, near Rugby.

BEN is the chosen charity for all of AM's events and the charity also receives editorial coverage in each AM magazine. The most money Ben has ever raised at an industry dinner was the AM Awards in 2011 when guests donated more than £25,000.

Editor's comment: "Thanks to everyone in the industry who has enabled AM to support BEN over the years. This award is for AM, but our job - enabling Ben to highlight its support of the industry and to appeal to the good nature of our audience - is actually the easy bit. Raising the money and ensuring the money is spent in the most appropriate and effective way is where the recognition should lie."
