Customers can now search a dealership’s stock, view cars they like, book a test drive and contact the dealer for further information all from the trusted, familiar environment of Facebook, thanks to the launch of a ‘SocialStock’ App from dealership marketing specialist Marketing Delivery.

The first dealerships to implement the app are Baileys Nissan and Barnard & Brough Nissan, both of which have seen Facebook user numbers increase in just a few weeks since launching it.
The new app is an extension of the SmartMail Social product launched by Marketing Delivery earlier in the year which has been achieving superb hit rates for dealers by posting positive CSI results to their Facebook pages.
Managing director Jeremy Evans said: “Facebook isn’t for everyone but with such a large percentage of computer users – some 57% in fact – logging in on a daily basis, dealers not making the most of it as a marketing tool are missing out on an alternative way to communicate with their customers.
“The SocialStock App is a natural progression of the work we’ve been doing during 2012 to maximise the functionality of Facebook in order to make it really beneficial for dealers.”
The app is created with the user in mind and takes a stock list feed direct from the existing dealership website to avoid the need for double keying. Users are able to carry out a full used car list search, including multi-locations, enabling the customer to search and view a dealers’ stock without leaving the trusted Facebook environment. The app also includes two promotional banners which link to pages on the dealer website.
