Lifestyle Ford has shown off its newly refurbished dealership on Brighton Road in Redhill to local students keen on a career in the motor trade.

16 Level-one Motor Vehicle Course students from East Surrey College got a taste of life on the showroom floor, where they were shown how to market and display vehicles.

They then proceeded to the service department, where a team of technicians explained the company’s approach to aftersales and maintenance, before finishing with a behind-the-scenes look at the parts operation.

After the tour, three Lifestyle managers took part in a question and answer session, giving the students vital tips on getting into the industry.

Helen Farrow, group resources manager at Lifestyle Ford, said: “The students were able to engage with the different fields we have to offer, demonstrating the options open to them.

“We actively support apprenticeships and also recruit people into part-time roles which allow on-the-job experience – key when they decide to take a full-time career.”
