Great Missenden Trade Centre and Chesham Trade Centre managing director Asrar Ahmed has been fined for “misdescribing” stock.

The company's website kars.co.uk was fined on five charges under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations at Aylesbury Crown Court.

The judge made compensation orders totalling £1,268 to three of the Ahmed’s customers.

The jury also found the business guilty of five charges under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations but the judge imposed no penalty on the company.

The prosecution was awarded £14,000 towards costs Ahmed was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15.

Ahmed was found guilty of two counts of being a director of a company engaging in an unfair commercial practice which is a misleading action, one count of being a director of a company engaging in an unfair commercial practice which contravenes the requirements of professional diligence and is likely to materially distort the economic behaviour of the average consumer, one count of being a director of a company engaging in an unfair commercial practice which hides material information and one count of being a director of a company engaging in an unfair commercial practice which provides material information in an untimely manner.
