News International (NI) has now launched its classified advertising site aimed at customers looking for vehicles priced above £14,000.
The launch of the website driving.co.uk will coincide with the renaming of the Sunday Times Driving supplement InGear, which will now be called Driving.
Driving says it has “contracted over 46,000 vehicles for sale”. The current stock level counter on Driving.co.uk website shows 25,505 cars available and Driving said customers will initially have access to 60% of stock until the newspaper renaming goes live on October 7.
Dealers have been offered a four month free trial period to upload their stock to the website.
The website has secured launch advertising partnerships with Mercedes, Porsche, Honda, VW and Sytner Group.
NI has invested £6m into a multi-media marketing campaign to launch the website.
Chris Taylor, Launch General Manager (and CIO), said: “For the team now the really exciting next phase lies in listening to consumer response and then developing and enhancing the site over the coming weeks and months."
NI first announced it would be entering the online classifieds market in August.
