Halfords Autocentres has reported a 13% increase in the number of Saab cars seen across its 247 garages throughout the UK since the Swedish brand went into administration at the end of last year.
However, Saab still has a network of 84 authorised repairers in the UK which will compete with independents for the 190,000 Saabs still left on the roads.
The repair network was put together recently after Saab Automobile Parts UK was formed from the ashes of Saab GB.
Saab service dealers will be busy making sure customers are aware they can still take their cars infor repairs.
Rory Carlin, Halfords Autocentres marketing director, said: "We’d usually expect to see around 1,800 Saabs each year, but have noticed a steady increase in the number being booked into our garages in recent months.
"Saab owners are clearly recognising Halfords Autocentres as a credible alternative to the franchise dealer network. Our garages and technicians are equipped and trained to provide high quality manufacturer services to all makes, types and age of car, including diagnostic and warranty work."
