Online car sales within the B2B sector in Europe are likely to more than double over the next five years, according to online remarketing company Autorola.
In 2011 it estimates it will sell over 220,000 cars through its online platforms across 17 European countries.
In five years it estimates this will rise to half a million vehicles, with the UK/Ireland likely to see the largest increase after eastern Europe.
Autorola’s Peter Groftenhauge cites the key reasons for the rise: greater confidence among buyers to buy a vehicle unseen brought about by improved vehicle provenance, including photos and descriptions.
